Beauty Personal Shopping, operated by Clayton Reid (“we”, “us”, “our”), is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website and the Beauty Personality Quiz. If you have any questions about this notice or how we handle your information, please contact us at [email protected].

We only collect the information you actively choose to submit through the quiz. This includes:

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Your marketing preference — whether you opted in to receive beauty tips and event invitations.
• Anything you choose to write in the optional free-text fields, such as the products or brands you're curious about, your biggest beauty challenge, and your beauty goal for the next six months.
• Your quiz result — your beauty personality type and the answers that produced it.

The quiz does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not gather any information about you automatically.

We use the information you provide to:

• Send you your quiz result and a personalised recommendation.
• Respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss booking an experience with you.
• Send you beauty tips and event invitations — but only if you opted in.

Our lawful bases for processing under the UK GDPR are your consent (which you give by submitting the quiz, and again where you opt in to marketing) and our legitimate interests in responding to people who get in touch with us. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we never sell your data.

If you selected “Yes please” on the quiz, we will use your email address to send you beauty tips and event invitations. You can withdraw your consent and stop receiving these at any time by emailing us at [email protected], and we will remove you promptly. Withdrawing your consent will not affect our ability to respond to your original enquiry.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the trusted providers that help us operate the service, who act as our data processors:

• Zoho — our email provider, which transmits and stores the messages sent from the quiz so we can read and reply to them.
• HubSpot — our customer relationship management (CRM) platform. If you opt in to marketing, we store your name and email address in HubSpot so we can manage our mailing list and send you the beauty tips and event invitations you asked for.
• Our website hosting provider, which hosts the website the quiz runs on.

These providers are only permitted to use your data for the purposes we specify and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Our email is handled through Zoho's European data centres, which keeps that information within the UK and EEA wherever possible. If you opt in to marketing, your contact details are stored in HubSpot, which processes data on servers in the United States. Where any provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards recognised under the UK GDPR (such as an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement) are in place.

We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to respond to you and provide our services, and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you have opted in to marketing, we keep your contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

We take reasonable measures to keep your information secure. Details submitted through the quiz are sent over an encrypted connection and stored in a password-protected email account, and we limit access to those who need it to respond to you.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your data (the right to erasure).
• Restrict or object to how we process your data.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

The Beauty Personality Quiz does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The wider website may use essential cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function; these are not used to track you across other websites.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
